Bear Clan History

As written by Primogen Gradnon Prior too July 1999

Hwanung, son of a god, came to Earth to establish a nation with 3000 of his followers. He founded a city on top of Mt Paektu. His nation prospered, Hwanung's people spread throughout the lands and Hwanung ruled the world. One day a tiger and a bear that lived in the same cave came to Hwanung to ask him to transform them into humans. Hwanung gave them each a piece of mugwort and 20 cloves of garlic. He instructed them to swallow these and shun the light of the sun for 100 days. The tiger faltered and went into the sun. The bear endured for 37 days of the 100 and was transformed into a human. However she could not find a mate so Hwanung pitied her and married her. They had a son known as Tangun. Tangun inherited his father's kingdom. Tangun was a wise man; he separated the people into clans around his nation. Thus the ancient kingdom of Choson was formed.

Over the ages Tangun's dynasty lost power over the kingdom. Fighting erupted between the clans and different faction throughout the land. Through the ages great kingdoms rose and fell. Kings and Generals lead glorious lives and died deaths that muses would write songs about for years to come. Today, King Yuri and his son Mhul rule over the great kingdom of Koguryo. The nations of the Han, PaekChe, Silla, and many others border Koguryo or are within an eagle's flight. It is a time of change and for some a time of stability.

Many centuries after the end of the Choson nation, during the rule of King Yuri, Madog and Vanion rediscovered the power of the Bear clan, Strength, Honor, and Loyalty. But then a dark power seeped into the land. Sagu, Mupa, and Darkchild threatened the rule of King Yuri and the very existence of Koguryo. Sagu and Mupa were defeated after a long series of battles in the Vale. Mupa fled from Koguryo vowing to one-day return. Sagu was trapped within an enchanted Onyx, but before she was trapped she swore a curse on Koguryo.

Sagu's curse came. Great earthquake opened up deep chasms in the earth. Volcanoes spewed their fiery fury upon the land. Evil Wyrms arose and attacked the people of the lands. Madog and Vanion, attempted to protect the land but Madog fell gravely ill and Vanion lost his life. Several members of the clan took Madog to a healer in a far off land.

That great winter, during their leader's absence, many bears went into hibernation swearing to not awaken until Madog returned. Several others just left, never to be seen or heard of again. After much Chaos two great warriors appeared, Gradnon and Oblivion. They began to awaken several of the Bears. That spring the Bear Clan awakened for the third time in its history.

But there is a beginning and an end to everything. One day suddenly, Madog returned stronger than ever. She was glad to see that Bear Clan had not perished while she was away. She continued to regain her strength while letting Gradnon and Oblivion rule.

But one day the Gods decided it was time for the mortals to teach other mortals the skills they had mastered. Madog, a skilled leader, was called upon to teach others the way of the Chongun. Oblivion, master of weaponry and several fighting techniques, was called upon to teach others the way of the Do. Caine, master of survival and the wild, was called upon to teach others the way of the Barbarian. LilCutiePie, who could call upon nature to do her bidding, was called upon to teach others the way of the Druid. GuardianIV, who had always amused others with his antics of storytelling, song singing and countless jokes, was called upon to teach others the way of the Muse. So several great leaders were forced to leave the Bear Clan for the greater good of all. But Oblivion held the position of Primarch and several of the Elders were part of the council.

Gradnon needed assistance in leading the clan. The clan had grown to be rather large. He selected a new Primarch to aid him in running the clan. The new Primarch chosen was a young warrior who had always shown promise as a leader through his enthusiasm for the clan, his loyalty, and his selflessness--Warpig. He called on Bear members to form an army, to aid Mhul in the defense of Koguryo. He chose SpoX to lead this army.

As the seasons change so does the clan. Gradnon faced with problems that overwhelmed his ability to lead had the wisdom to step down and selected a new Primogen, Cleap. With Gradnon at his side as friend and council, Cleap took hold of the clan and pronounced a new system for which the Clan would be organized.

With the great wisdom of Gradnon guiding him, the clan was organized into two factions: Chieftains, lead by the Primarch PuffD; and the Bear Militia, lead by General SpoX. From that point, all bears and newly assented members of the clans are placed into one of the two paths and work towards completing goals of both the clan and themselves.

So it was for the Clan for many seasons, then the Great Shift hit our world turning everything upside-down and backwards only the gods know for sure what caused this transformation of our world. All the Clan Hall’s were gone nothing was where it was before, the people were the same but nothing else was.

Cleap tried to hold the clan together as best he could with the help of Lukarius; newly appointed Primarch and LordPacman Bear Lord and Council Member. But many a Bear scattered to the winds or went into some going mad with despair others going into hibernation and so it went for many seasons. Cleap finally succumbed to the despair of the clan collapsing around him. No matter what he or his council did they couldn’t breath life back into the clan.

The finally the god took pity on us and returned or beloved hall by means of a Kindred talisman. It was a day to rejoice. Alas it came to late for Cleap he had lost heart and that special spark that it takes to run a clan. So the clan drudged on for a few more seasons with no new blood to excite it to action and it older members still in disarray over the shift that so devastated or land. The “Bears” that commonly, wondered the hall in the days scents it was first built had grown vicious and would attack any to enter the hall it was a tiring time for all.

Until one day Lukarius, LordPacman and Clone had a meeting in the hall to discuss the condition of the Clan. It was decided at this meeting that Lukarius would take the Primogenship of the Clan With Cleap as the Primarch and the rebuilding of the clan under a strong leader could begin anew.

Lukarius prayed to the god’s for many moons asking for guidance and an answer to the bears turning vicious in the hall. It was then that Tangun with Madog, Vanion, Gradnon and Warpig behind him appeared unto Lukarius to offer guidance and to assure him that al would be well that they would use the bears in the hall as an anchor for the spirits to continue to guide the Bear Clan to Glory it once knew. But they charge him and the entire clan to protect them for they had no power in this world just the wisdom to guide. So the pact was made for all the clan on the one night became tied to the fate of the bears.

Seasons passed and the clan prospered and stayed an elite family close knit and secretive with no outsiders allowed in the Hall save for a few select friends even they were guarded closely, this was all to insure the safety of our "Sacred Bears". For we had learned the hard way that to allow to many into the hall would mean harm possibly even death to our beloved bears.

Then one fateful day the Gods decreed that we as a clan needed to grow and become strong anew as we once were. So Lukarius called his council to meeting ordered General Douphin to rebuild the Militia and LordPacman to start recruiting New bear clan members of the utmost honor to once again swell the ranks of the Bear Clan to return her to the Glory she once knew. Then he informed the council that he was personally given a quest by the god and was to set out immediately, should he not return before season's end, he would leave instruction's with his brother Asmarus.

As the season progressed LordPacman recruited many new Bears the clan had grown considerable and the militia swelled with fresh Warriors and Poets. Though we weren't quite where we needed to be according to the god's decree we were getting close. The season was almost over and Lukarius had still not returned we where growing worried for or leader and some were grumbling that he might not return. So General Douphin and LordPacman gathered some of The Militia members and set out to search for him. This went on tell well into the next season when we finally gave up the search (if not hope) and went to see Asmarus to receive the instructions Left By Lukarius upon his departure.

Asmarus Handed to Douphin a sealed letter, the banner and Bear Sword (the Sword of the Bear Clans Primogen). The letter said simply: Douphin Should you be reading this missive I haven’t returned from my holy quest and may never return I leave the Primogenship to you and I know you shall lead the Clan as I would have had I been there to do so. Fare thee well and Long Live the Bear Clan.

So starts the reign of Douphin. As Primogen he lead the clan as if Lukarius never left. The winter of his reign was very long and very harsh, causing many to fall into a deep illness, including Douphin. Many prayers went out to the god's for his return to health. As was done for Madog so many years afore so was Douphin to be taken to healer in a far off land by a detachment of the militia. But learning from history and Douphin Handed the Bear Sword and Primogenship to LordPacman to lead and keep the peoples of the Bear safe until he could someday return to lead the clan again.

Under LordPacman's and with the help of Nightwatcher the Clan grew to just about its present Strength and Glory; gods were satisfied. Douphin return after a little over a season and resumed the Primogenship shortly after his return, LordPacman choose to pursue guideship with his chosen path.

But alas Douphin was not meant to hold the Clan for soon after his return he recieved word that his path, the family of Barbarians needed him, and he would have to depart. He felt he could not leave the clan without a Primogen and this time he choose to step down for good. So he turned to Nightwatcher to lead the clan and thus starts the Clan on its present path under Nightwatchers leadership.

So with Nightwatcher as Primogen and LordPacman coming out of semiretirement to be Primarch the Bear clan has prospered and grown strong and has attained mayhap even surpassed its passed glory to be the Clan it is today.

As written by Primogen Raquil June 2002

Nightwatcher reigned for around 8 Yuri’s over Bear Clan, He continued to promote the clans growth recruiting many new cubs to the fold that is bear clan, He changed many of the old ways now that the clan was growing larger. He instituted a harder trailing system for new potential cubs so they had to truly show there dedication to the mighty Bear before being admitted. Nightwatcher also oversaw the re-writing of the Bear Clan Laws by Bruener and LordPacman, these were scribed onto several wild bear pelts and hung onto the walls of Bear Clan Hall for all to read who entered the hall. Nightwatcher also instituted specific hunt days and times for Bear Members to go out on, This was to bring all Bear members closer together during the heat of combat and taught the Bear members how to work together as a team to gain a common goal, it also provided a side purpose of funds for extensions to the Bear Hall.

Nightwatcher lead Bear Clan through some interesting times in Nexus History. When the Lost Mines opened for the first time it at first seemed everything was safe in the depths of these mines and many riches were gleaned from there depths, after some time it became apparent evil was trying to escape the boundary’s of the mine, Nightwatcher instructed members of the mighty Bear Clan to head deep into the bowls of the mines and help those who would seal the mines so that evil would not escape. Many Bears fell in combat protecting kindred and stranger a like trying to reach the bottom of the mines to collapse the entry after several days of journey into the depths of these mines, they were able to assist in the sealing of the Lost Mines and so ended this threat to the Kingdom of the Winds.

Nightwatcher started to feel old age creeping into his bones and felt it was his time to step aside and allow a new Primogen to take the reigns of the mighty Bear Clan. So stepped down the mighty warrior Nightwatcher and into his place stepped LordPacman.

LordPacman began his reign by resorting his council, He appointed Nightpool as his Primarch. LordPacman instituted many changes as well as being involved with keeping the clan together in some of the most troubling times of the nexus, First I shall cover the improvements he made to the clan hall and then the troubling times he lead the clan through during his time as leader;

LordPacman first appointed two elders to specifically look after clan hunts so making the clan hunts more organized. He also instituted the clan induction ceremonies which were presided over by either himself the Primarch or the head of admits. These Induction ceremony’s helped to make the new cubs feel more a part of the clan they were joining as well as allowing them to meet many of the elder bears who regularly attended these ceremony’s. LordPacman also helped our beloved Snuff to find a wife he went on a Long pilgrimage with Snuff into the mountains protecting him from snow beasts and mountain lions, Snuff returned to his home village were the girl he knew as a small boy lived, they spent a few months there courting and then they were married and LordPacman returned with Snuff and His new Wife Mrs. Snuff back to his home in bear clan hall. Were they both now happily preside Snuff repairing our items and Mrs. Snuff providing other service such as weaving and karma assessment.

During LordPacman time as leadership the clan and clan hall was assaulted many times, firstly by Blight and his 3 henchmen, they first kidnapped our beloved bears and then continued to send tigers against the hall to throw the clan into disarray. LordPacman seeing Blights goal to confuse and rattle the mighty Bear Clan first activated the Bear militia and had them regularly patrol the Bear Hall killing any tiger that they found he also organized the remaining Bear members into regular patrols to supplement the clans militia, once the hall was secured LordPacman then ordered the militia to patrol the surrounding boarders of Kugnae and to deny Blight his henchman or any supports any access to the city of Kugnae ,Many a Member of the Clan fell in combat in those dark days whether it was to tiger to Blight or to One of his Henchmen, Each who fell simply strengthened the resolve of the remaining Bear members and they fought on valiantly defending the clan hall and the boarders of Kugnae. In the closing days of the war with Blight and the Forsaken as a last ditch effort on Blights part to humiliate Bear clan he challenged the clan to a duel to regain our beloved bears or he would return them in pieces. LordPacman spent a long day in meditation and discussion with other clan Primogen's who had lost beloved items to Blight. At the last moment before Blights offer was up LordPacman and the other Primogen's decided to accept Blights challenge. LordPacman and Iceshower fought hard with the other champions from the other clans. They all fought hard dealing out as good as they got. LordPacman went down from a Vicious sword Blow from Blight and Blast of magic from one of his henchmen, LordPacman mortally wounded crumbled to the ground but not before putting in one mighty blow from the bear sword staggering Blight backwards, from that moment on the remaining champions of the clans found the fight turned in there favor and fought on slowly weakening Blight and eventually they over whelmed him. Blight as it turned out after his defeat was a man of his word and he returned our Beloved Bears and Ordered the tigers to desist there attacks on the Bear Hall. So ended the biggest incident that had struck Bear Clan since the shattering.

LordPacman unfortunately could always feel were Blights sword had bitten into his flesh, although this did not affect his combat, and LordPacman continued to lead the bear clan, After the war though unfortunately LordPacman's trusty Primarch Nightpool was forced to leave the kingdom to a far of land to help train the military of King Yuri’s Cousin twice removed there. LordPacman then selected a new Primarch he chose Raquil who had been The Bear Militia’s General.

The next few Yuri’s of LordPacman’s leadership were relatively peaceful. Till the secret of the Wind Armour was discovered, this caused a massive imbalance as the very souls of wind creatures were bonded to the amour during its creation. The wind minions became angered at the way they were being treated by these puny Humans. At first there attacks were weak hardly penetrating the walls of Kugnae and did not even breach the walls of the clan hall. As more wind minions were bonded to amour these attacks become stronger and stronger until they were attacking on the very inside of the clan hall. These creatures unlike blights minions before were un-naturally strong with many bears falling to there windy attacks. The bear militia was once again activated but even with the militia and the entire might of every bear member it was very hard to keep the hall clear of these creatures. Every bear fought valiantly defending both the clan hall and the walls of Kugnae many fell in combat never to rise again others mortally wounded were healed and sprung back into the fray. LordPacman fought through this but each time he neared death he could feel the bite mark of Blights blade getting worse and worse. Eventually the Sages of the land figured out how to close the gateway that was allowing the wind minions into our realm and it was sealed. Unfortunately LordPacman could feel his wound from Blights blade was much worse and he decided he had to travel to far lands to try and gain the healing he required so he packed his favorite horse and warm tiger fur cloak and stepped down as Primogen placing Raquil into the position as next Bear Primogen, Raquil In turn selected Curlym as his new Primarch. LordPacman then mounted his horse and headed off.
(note: LordPacman returned around 1yuri later, almost fully healed, spiritually more awakened than he had ever been and more in contact with the Spirits of the Ancient Bears and he now takes his place as LoreMaster of Bear Clan.)

As written by Loresquire Raquil Jan 2004

Raquil took over leadership of the mighty Bear Clan during the attack of the wind minions, during his 7 yuri’s as primogen the Kingdom of the winds was plagued by many problems; The rebuilding of the cities after the wind minions attacked, the poisoning of the King, The invasion of the pirates after there island was plagued by swallows. Raquil also went on a quest to search for the fabled Wind God Tangun and was rewarded with a surprise for the whole clan.

Raquil’s leadership started in turmoil during the end of the mighty wind minion war. He continued to provide defence of Kugnae as Lordpacman had done with the many bears who volunteered daily. Once the war was over much of Kugnae and Buya lay in ruins everywere lay broken walls and broken weapons, even the Bear Hall was not unscathed with many scorch marks and dead trees. Each Kingdom decided to rebuild their city’s to do this they asked for the aid of the citizens of the Kingdoms. Many Bears spent hours donating items and materials to rebuild the city of Kugnae and repair their beloved hall. After several weeks of donating the repairs were carried out by the Kugnae tradespeople and the city was not only as good as new, but better than new.

All was quiet for several Yuri’s, during this time Raquil left on a long pilgrimage to find the fabled Wind God Tangun, Bear Clan was unhappy that the mighty god had become displeased with them so much so that he had attacked them and the city in which they lived. The clan decided that they should seek him out and apologise for the transcretion personally. Raquil set out at the clans request heading deep into the Northern Mountains for many months he climbed up through the mountains through freezing wind and icy snow, pounced on by snow panthers at everyturn. After many months of walking, Raquil crested a small ridge tired, weary and frozen. He saw before him a small cave, which he struggled into. Convinced that this was where he would die, he ate the last of his rations and dropped off into an icy slumber. As he lay their dreaming, a mighty Bear appeared in his dream it was made of swirling aether.

“Tangun?”
“Yes, Why do you seek me Chongun?” answered Tangun.
“I come to ask your forgiveness on behalf of the whole of Bear Clan for our transcretions against you during the Wind Wars.”
“You have walked here to my domain risked your very life not knowing if you would find me simply to ask my forgiveness for your Clan” Tangun asked, mildly amused.
“Even if I die on this frozen mountain it is important to Bearclan that you know we meant you no harm or disrespect. We honor you too much mighty Tangun.” Raquil mumbled, weakening.
“You have sacrificed much for the honor of your clan. You may return with this message and a gift Chongun Warrior. I hold no grudge against the mighty Bear Clan; you all fought bravely and honourably during the war. Bear Clan also did all they could to restore the balance once the
solution was discovered. For this and your sacrifice; here. I give you this gift.”

Tangun reached down with a mighty paw into himself a withdrew a swirling etheric ball. He then reached out with his other paw and touched Raquil, a blaze of soft blue light leapt from his paw and surrounded Raquil, with a jolt Raquil awoke. As his eyes flickered open he caught a soft blue glow just fading from his skin, As he looked to the floor in front of him he saw a large blue orb. Raquil slowly rose to his feet feeling revived and rested, he bent and scooped up the Orb placing it carefully into his backpack. He then felt an energy course through him the likes of which he had never felt before and so he ran with an endurance he had never known before back to the Bear Hall. As he crossed the threshold of the hall doorway there was a mighty boom and the Orb disappeared and every bear member heard.

“My gift to you mighty Bear clan is a piece of myself look after it well and it will teach you what you wish to know.”

Every member rushed back to hall to see what the gift was. There, at the back of the bear shop stood a new doorway. Upon entering, they beheld a new room and living in it was a mighty bear named Tangun, who had the ability to teach them certain skills. Later when investigating the new doorway it was found that only bear members who had the spirit of bear tied to their soul could enter the doorway and all others would be rebuked.

Shortly after Raquil returned, the pirates re-invaded or were rather driven back into our lands when their island was infested with swallows. Many Bears helped fight the pirates and many more travelled to the Pirate Island and helped by destroying the swallow nests so that the pirates might return to there island in peace.

After leading the mighty Bear Clan for 7 Yuri’s, Raquil could feel himself growing weary and not as nimble as he once was. He felt the clan would be better served by a new Primogen and so he handed the reigns of the clan over to Cbuzz and took up a new role as assistant to the Loremaster, were he continues to serve the clan to this day as the LoreSquire.

As Written by Primogen Sloan 2005

From the start of his reign, cbuzz had noticed that the Bear Clan had become somewhat quiet and withdrawn. He wasted no time in waking them up, and making it known to all, that the Bear Clan was alive and stronger than ever. He let out many loud RRROOOAAARRRS throughout the kingdoms. Roars so powerful, that to this day, everyone recognizes the roar of the mighty Bear Clan.
Much of his reign was devoted to enriching the minds and increasing the abilities of the Bears. To ensure that every Bear learned the ways of the Warriors and Poets, he dug special tunnels that would lead directly from our hall to the Warrior and Poet Guilds of Kugnae. He instituted Crafting Days to help Bears excel in their chosen fields and specialties. Of course, buzzy was not all work and no play. While off searching for honey, up in a tree at the East Gate, he noticed a group of baby rabbits, huddled together and shivering. Realizing they had no one to take care of them, he scooped the bunnies into his arms and took them to live in the safety of the Bear Den. Awww, what a softy! Sadly, a problem that had plagued the Bear Clan in the past had seemed to return. Criminals in the community were still seeking to do harm to our ancestral bears. cbuzz decided something more must be done. He made a request to the Gods themselves, hoping they would help. After hearing his terrible tale of how our beloved bears were under constant threat from outsiders breaking into our home, the Gods cast an enchantment upon the hall. This made it so, that no one could come into the main hall without a Bear's permission. Throughout the time of cbuzz's reign, ChiZao had begun attacking the kingdoms. Strange creatures began roaming the lands, harassing the citizens. Prince M'hul had the Kugnae Clan Militias patrolling the city, keeping it safe. But ChiZao's power was still growing. Prince M'hul knew that something had to be done, and that the wise and mighty cbuzz, was one of Kugnae's best bets. He, along with many other brave Bears, would go deep into ChiZao's tomb, to try and stop him once and for all. Knowing that this would be a dangerous journey, he presented the Bear Sword and Emblem to his Primarch, Leafe, appointing her as the new Bear Primogen. Though only having served a short time as Primogen, cbuzz was beloved by the entire clan. Bear Clan grew into a stronger and closer family with cbuzz as its leader. As a sign of his strength and wisdom, he was presented with a special spear, engraved simply "Papa Bear". Something that cbuzz will always be to every young cub that finds their way to our cave.

Leafe's reign began with a bang. Her first act as Primogen was to reorganize the council as she saw fit, by letting go of some and appointing others. With the help of newly appointed Ambassador, Teragg, the Random Acts of Kindness ceremony was born. This was a way to recognize the wonderful things Bears do for each other. Leafe also saw the need to change the admissions policy, as many in the community had tried to take advantage of our Clan. Cub Trials were created as a way to teach younger Bears the ways and beliefs of the Clan. To make sure Bear was ready to serve its Kingdom at a moment's notice, Leafe created a direct route from the Hall to the Palace, as well as one to the inns and market.

Finally ending a long battle, the original master of magic, ChiZao, had been defeated and all Bears had returned home safely. This was a time for celebration! Leafe gathered all the Bears together, to start constructing a new addition to the hall. It would become a beautiful, peaceful place for Bears to kick back, relax, and have some much deserved fun. After lots of hard work, Bear Falls was finally opened.

Along with her great sense of fun, Leafe also put her social skills to work. She went in search of friendly faces to help make Bear Falls the best it could be. While strolling through the wilderness, she met a strange, but kind fisherman. He had an odd habit of carrying his fishing hooks by attaching them to his ears. Ouch! Leafe thought this was very odd... but she, too, was quite the oddball, and took a liking to the fisherman straight away. She told him of the cool, sparkling blue waters that flow through Bear Falls, and the many fish just waiting to be caught. This caught the man's attention, and with a little nudging from Leafe, he decided to live in Bear Falls, teaching the art of fishing. It was at this time, Leafe realized she had never gotten the fisherman's name. He proceeded to tell her, but she exclaimed, "That name just takes too long to say! It has at least 3 syllables!" She began calling him Hook, which is how Bears know him to this day.

It is mentioned, that Leafe was quite odd. In fact, many Bears believed she was insane. Part of this, is due to the story of the next helper to join Bear Falls. One day, Leafe returned home from a trip to the Arctic Land, insisting that she had just met a talking Giasomo bird! Not only did he talk, but according to Leafe, he was fascinated by the life of Madog and kept asking about her. Of course, this story was very hard to believe. So Leafe brought the bird to Bear Hall to prove once and for all, that he did indeed talk. And talk he did! Actually, once he gets going, it's very hard to get him to stop. The special bird decided he wanted to stay with the Bears, and made a cozy nest in Bear Falls by the G'oh Board. Because of his love for Madog, Leafe named him after Madog's Primarch and clan co-founder, Vanion. It was soon learned just how truly special Vanion was. Not only could he talk, but he also had the legal authority to perform weddings! Not your everyday Giasomo bird.

It wasn't long after Vanion's arrival, that Tangun began showing signs of sadness. He had expressed to Leafe that he was feeling lonely. Bears were having so much fun in Bear Falls that they seemed to have forgotten about poor ol' Tangun, all alone in the Inner Bear Shop. She assured him that no one could ever forget Tangun, but she understands how it is when new faces come along. She went out in search of someone to keep Tangun company. While wandering around the Barbarian Cave (a place she often frequented), Leafe came across a small tiger. She approached him cautiously, as tigers and bears have not had the best history, but at closer range, she could tell the poor thing was starving. He was practically skin and bones! She asked him why he hadn't eaten anything. There were plenty of smaller animals roaming the wilderness. The tiger told her, (cause he can talk, too) that he couldn't bring himself to kill another animal, and had been eating nothing but grass and leaves. Suddenly, Leafe got an idea. Bear Clan has many talented food preparers; surely they could help this poor tiger! She took him home, and introduced him to Tangun. The bear and the tiger became fast friends. Leafe called upon all the Bear cooks to make as much grilled beef, roasted chicken, and boiled fish as they could, to feed the tiger. He loved it! And strangely, he paid them for it! He soon grew so big, that Tangun could hide behind him. He enjoyed our hall very much, and decided to stay. Tangun was happy to have a roommate, and decided to name the tiger Paektu, after the mountain that Hwanung's city was built on. Though, he was not the last new friend that Leafe would bring to Bear.

It was a chance happening of being in the right place at the right time. Leafe was walking along the South Gate, when she heard some very loud yelling. It was coming from Sunset, the magical weaver. She sounded very angry. Leafe arrived just in time to see a small, black cat being thrown from Sunset's door. She tried asking the cat what had happened, but it seemed this cat couldn't talk. Leafe decided to take her home, anyway, to stay in the Bear Servant room, with the other cats. Naming her was a tough task. The cat didn't seem to respond to any name Leafe came up with. Finally, Leafe tried the name "Grace". The cat seemed to recognize this word, and suddenly, Leafe felt slightly more graceful, herself! She soon realized that this shadow cat had learned the powers of Sunset. Soon, many Bears had come to visit Grace, and see how special she was. Having never felt so loved, Grace decided to stay in Bear Hall.
Leafe served as Primogen for 6 Yuris, opening many new doors for Bear Clan. Times had changed, and Leafe made sure the clan changed with them, while still holding on to its traditions. Sadly, though, the strain of being Primogen, along with so many talking animals, had given Leafe's insanity the means to completely consume her. She knew she could no longer lead Bear, and gave the Bear Sword and Emblem to her Primarch, Sloan. After appointing Sloan as the new Primogen, it is unknown where Leafe has gone. Some say she can be found wandering around the wilderness, screaming at animals, trying to make them talk. Perhaps one day, she will come back, and tell us of her many insane adventures.

To Be Continued ...
